How to find your Apple ID or password

Your Apple ID is the username you use to sign in to all of your Apple services. If you forgot it, here are some methods to help you identify yourself.

Use a different email address

Usually your username is your email address. First, try to log in using any email address that could potentially have been used as a login.

Use the Apple ID page

1. Go to the apple ID page (https://appleid.apple.com/en) and click Forgot Apple ID or Password.

2. When entering your Apple ID, click Forgot Apple ID.

3. Enter your last name, first name and e-mail address. If it’s not the correct email address, try a different one.

Check if you are already signed in with your Apple ID

You may already be signed in on one of your Apple devices.

Check which Apple ID you are using to sign in to the following services:

On your Mac, MacBook, or iPod touch:

* Touch Settings> [your name]> iTunes & App Store. In iOS 10.2 or earlier, tap Settings> iTunes & App Store

* Touch Settings> [your name]. In iOS 10.2 or earlier, tap Settings> iCloud

* Touch Settings> Messages> Send & Receive.

* Touch Settings> FaceTime.

* Touch Settings> Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

On your Mac or PC:

* Select Apple menu> System Preferences, then click on iCloud.

* Open Mail, then select Mail> Preferences and click Accounts.

* Open Calendar, then select Calendar> Preferences and click Accounts.

* Open FaceTime, then select FaceTime> Preferences and click Settings.

* Open Messages, then select Messages> Preferences and click on Accounts.

If you find your Apple ID, but forgot your password, reset it (https://iforgot.apple.com/)

View your previous purchases in iTunes

If you’ve made purchases from the iTunes Store before, you can view the account that was used in that transaction.

If the Apple ID has been changed later, the one in the file information cannot be used anymore.

1. Open iTunes.

2. Click on one of your purchases. You can find your purchases in your Library.

3. Choose Edit> Get Info.

4. Click the File tab.

5. Navigate to “purchased by”. The Apple ID used during the purchase is shown in parentheses.

How to fix the dead pixel issue on your screen?

Many Apple products have a liquid crystal display (LCD). LCD screens use rows and columns of pixels to display text and images on the screen. Each pixel consists of three sub-pixels (red, green and blue), and each sub-pixel is associated with a transistor allowing its activation and deactivation. Depending on its size, the screen can contain thousands or millions of subpixels. (The screen of a 27-inch iMac, mid-2010 has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 or 3.7 million pixels that can generate more than 11 million image particles on the screen). It may happen that a transistor has a malfunction, the affected subpixel then remains off (black) or on (white). It is possible that several transistors are faulty.

How to fix the dead pixel issue on your screen?

The presence of dust or foreign matter may cause pixel anomalies, either in the screen or on the surface of the glass front. Dust on the glass front can easily be removed with a lint-free cloth. Removal of foreign objects stuck in the screen should be carried out by a qualified Expert.
